FIRM PROFILE
MacCracken Robinson Architects has been a multi-service architecture firm since its inception in 1985. We have completed projects for clients in a broad geographic range from the San Francisco Bay Area, Napa Valley and Truckee to Boston and New York. Our design impetus begins with gathered information – client wishes and requirements, the site and its environment, culture and context – in an effort to blend pragmatic and poetic elements in our work. We are inspired by the process of translating owner vision and program and site context into specific principles that lend rationale to our design work and result in beautiful, functionally excellent spatial environments.
We emphasize the use of natural materials, opportunities for use of natural light and shadow, scale and proportion to establish a coherent language of architecture unique to client, place, and idea.
Our firm strives to achieve a seamless union of design development, careful execution of construction detail drawings, and regular involvement during construction. We are committed to finding meaningful, provocative, and functional solutions for our clients, within established budgets and schedules.
